Bounce Rate Effect on Search Engine Rankings

by Vanjana Arya CEO

There is a lot of debate and discussion on the relationship between the bounce rate and our position in the Google search engines and finally it is concluded that there is a close relationship between these two. It is confirmed that Google always considers the amount of time which a visitor generally spend on a particular website as a measure of its importance and relevance.

A back button which is clicked by any user on any site is considered by the Google as it indicates the user’s disinterests towards our sites and gives a bad search results.

Concept of Bounce Rate: generally the bounce rate is the percentage of the single page visit of Professional Web Design by the visitors which means the visits in which person has left our site from the entrance page. It is simply a measure of the visit quality. A high bounce rates simply indicates the relevancy of the entrance pages to visitors.

If there are high bounce rates on our site for a search term, then our ranking will be lower and devalued the site for that search term. In other words, the bounce arte of the websites is the percentage of the visitors who has just gone through only one page of our site and leave immediately. It indicates the quality of the traffic which is coming to our site. It is a kind of a judgment by the visitors in terms of quality and usefulness of our websites.

Tips for making site ready for the search engines: As soon as a high bounce rate is considered as the measure of site’s ineffectiveness, there is a necessity for Web Development Company Jaipur to improve the content as well as usability of our site pages. If bounce rate could be lower marginally through the content and usability, we will be able to notice an improvement in the conversion rates as well as could attract more visitors through search engines.

If the visitor still ignores the site, the search engines will note it and finally lower the ranking of the site. So there is a need to decrease the bounce rates as well as improve the conversion rates.
