When people talk about patriarchy and lack of pay parity, the name of Bollywood always comes forth. For a long time, we have acknowledged women just playing side-kick to the main actor in the movie, which is extremely unfair in away.   

Right from the 1960s, while Indian audience has reveled to see their favorite actors like Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand on the screen. It is astonishing to see how they always romance a much younger actor. And this trend has been followed up in Bollywood ever since.

Aishwarya Rai Bacchan-

From bagging the Miss World award to giving hits, Aishwarya Rai Bacchan has always been a part of the latest Bollywood news. She knows how to make her presence felt. Her first movie after the marriage was Jodha Akbar where she stunned everyone with her performance. Although post birth of her daughter, she took an off for about five years, she was back with a bang with movies like Ae Dil hai mushkil, Jazbaa and Sarbjit.

Kareena Kapoor Khan-

There seems to be no change in Kareena Kapoor Khan even after marriage. She has been a Bollywood charm ever since she started her career and continues to be so. Her acting has always been appreciated. With Udta Punjab being her first movie after marriage, her latest release Angrezi Medium has also garnered her praises and accolades.

Anushka Sharma-

Miss bubbly and charming, Anushka Sharma married Virat Kohli last year in 2017. The duo is considered to be one of the power couples whose charm will never die. In spite of her marriage, her role in the movie Pari and Sanju was commendable. She was also seen in not so hits like “Sui Dhaga” and “Zero”.

Kajol Devgan-

Kajol is an evergreen actress whose charisma never seems to fades. She married Ajay Devgan at a time when she was at the peak of her career in 1999. Even after marriage, she has been doing a great job with movies such as ‘My Name is Khan’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi gam’, ‘Dilwale’ and Fanaa. Breaking all box office collection records since the beginning, Kajol was recently seen with husband Ajay Devgan in Tanhaji.
