Blade free surgery is done as the first step to create the corneal flap without the use of blade or incision. In Lasik surgery, the flap is created with the incision or by making small cut, then after making the flap, the laser is used to treat the area beneath the flap. In blade free Lasik, the rapid pulses of laser are used to make corneal flap. Here, the each pulses of the laser forms a microscopic bubble of specific depth, when it passes through upper portion of the eye cornea. The depth of the bubble and position is determined by the eye specialist.

The bubbles are   created by moving laser light back and forth through an eye. With this technology, the surgeon can give accurate shape to the flap suiting the eye. The corneal flap by this blade free technology is created from below the cornea. The use of laser is harmless to the eye. After forming the bubbles by passing the laser through an eye, the bubbles are stacked around the cornea to create edges for the bubbles. The angle of the stacked bubbles are determined by the doctor and also depends on the shape of the eye of the individual

The bubbles creating process takes only some seconds. The process is quite and relaxing for the patient. To treat the area under the cornea, the surgeon, gently lifts the flap to pass laser to area under the surface of the flap. This part of the treatment is like Lasik surgery. After treating the area, the flap Blade Free Lasik in Delhi  comes back to the original position and begins normal healing process.

The use of blade free Lasik is one of the exciting development in vision correction. The treatment has been used and approved by defense department of United States and NASA for their pilots and astronauts.

Creating of flap in laser Lasik surgery without the use of blade is safe and secure and the shape of the flap is made to suit the eye and patient. With blade Lasik surgery, the flaps can go ugly. The chances of better flap are very high in case of blade free surgery. In blade part surgery of the Lasik, the possibility of buttonhole flap increases with the curved shape of cornea. In blade free surgery, the Keratoconus Treatment in Delhi shape of the flap will remain same and the shape of the cornea has not affect on it. Surgeon favoring blade free Lasik argue that the chances of vision distortion is more in blade made flap than with flap made with use of laser , as in blade free surgery . This is because of thickness of flap is same in blade free surgery.
