Best Childhood Memories for the people Born in the 90s

by Ayushi Mittal Blogger

If you were born in the 90s, then welcome to the club. You might not believe it, but you witnessed a revolutionary era. The mobile phones became popular and moved from being large to small to large yet again!! The pagers were also replaced. The internet and emails became a household thing. The cassettes and audio players were revolutionized. The floppies were replaced by the CDs;  which were replaced by the pen drives. Some of us have actually used a dial-up connection that took long to work. We have watched some of the iconic TV Shows and Superhero Stuff. Well, when Rahul Dravid was still endorsing the Kissan Jam; well amazing it was!

Childhood memories

This post is going to take you down the memory lane. Read some of the best childhood memories you have as a 90s kid.

1 – Nani ka Ghar:

Visiting Grandparents (Nani) was like visiting a dreamland. It used to fill our hearts with unparalleled excitement. Those long train and bus journeys with Mumma and siblings – Wow!! Playing all day in the summers and listening to long stories – it was simply amazing. You met your friends after a very long time. You explored new things every day. You had no worries and you were spoiled to infinity by the Nani. Gosh! It was some different world that gave all of us some really beautiful memories.

Kids still go to their grandparents these days. But the long playing sessions in the streets are bygone. Digital media and changing society have changed things forever. Well, this year plan a journey to your old folks with your kids via trains or buses. Let them witness the world the way you did. Don’t forget to explore latest Ticketgoose offers for bookings. You will save and enjoy side by side.

2 – Outdoor Games:

Well, though the technology helped us a lot; but it made many things extinct. The outdoor games have now become a thing of the past. The groups of children playing cricket; chain; pitthu; Goli and other such games are now sitting behind the screens; reading this post. Well, granted that you might not play them. But, play with your kids on weekends. Let them witness the joy of playing outdoors and make some real friends.

3 – Evening Walk and Talk Sessions:

Almost every colony and neighborhood had a place like that. All the friends (kids and adults) used to collect there and enjoy. Some liked to enjoy long talks and some liked to play. Women brought their kids and got a breath of fresh air. These things have been eroded with the advent of the modern age. All that is left is the weekend outings that are limited by the budget. Those were the times when people used to enjoy without spending money. Hence, the joys of life were simple and amazing. These days, you spend a lot and still are not that content.

4 – Pepsi Cola Ice Candy:

Remember the long strips like ice cream candy that was sold outside your school? Well, you used to die to have just one. All of us pestered our parents for the ice cream money. We used to stand in the long queues for just one candy. Those were the days; right?

Well, it is always good to enjoy some days in your home town. This vacation, ditch the cars and refresh your memories. Travel in train; converse with strangers and get your old favourite foods. Don’t forget to use Travelyaari coupons and enjoy savings as well. Tune into your favourite songs from Jal and Band of Boys and enjoy!!
