dog sitting So having a dog is a wonderful experience, but as much as you love and spoil your puppy there are certain commands all of them should know in order to behave properly and make your life easier. Of course there are some commands that are silly and have no practical use, but there are also the basics that need to be taught as soon as the dog is 3 months old.

Here are the commands that are the foundation of a well behaved doggy provided by the professionals at pet sitting London.

The first one should probably be "Sit". There isn't a strict particular order, dog running but starting with the easiest should be the right way. As easy as it is it's also very important. Once you teach your doggy to sit you will be able to have him stay still in one place which will make teaching the other commands a lot easier because you will have the dog's attention. "Sit" is also very useful if your dog has the habit to jump on people, ordering the dog this command is one of the easiest ways to tell him to behave.

Next in line is the "Come" command. You need to be sure that wherever your dog is it will come to you upon the command, a certain whistling sound or any other kind of sign you have chosen. This will be very helpful if you're walking your dog without a leash or near a place where cars are passing by.

Even more annoyingly when this toy is actually your shoe or other important thing that shouldn't be chewed and destroyed. Furthermore the "Spit it" command has a more serious meaning. Believe it or not there are a lot of mean people who try to poison our beloved doggies for whatever reasons. So if you see your fog chewing something while you're walking him immediately command him to spit it, it may save his life. To prevent this from happening it would be better to teach your dog not to eat anything from the ground, but you can never be sure about that.

As much as we love our dogs, they have no ways ow dividing right from wrong at the beginning so that's our job. And the best way to do it is to teach him the "No" command. Whenever the doggy is about to do something wrong command him "NO!" and maybe a light slap with the leash will do. On the contrary when he behaves well encourage him with nice words. That way if he starts barking at someone, jumping, walking somewhere it's not supposed to you can just forbid him with this dog giving pawcommand. The good thing about the "NO" is that it's universal and can be used in multiple occasions, so definitely a must command.

And the last but definitely not least one - "Paw". You may think that teaching your dog to give paw is just an useless command used only for fun, but that's not the way. The paw turns in to a powerful tool for the dog that let's him grab your attention, ask for stuff, open doors, point and many other things. So with this one you're actually doing your pet a favor.

Of course there are a million more commands like - "Freeze", "Play Dead", "Bark" etc. But they are simply for fun or if you're planing to turn your dog into a circus star. My advice is stick to the basics and anything else is just a plus.
