Barry Dadon: I was hoping Brady’s suspension would be cut

I don’t know about you, but I, Barry Dadon, was sure hoping that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s suspension was going to be cut in half.

And that’s not because I am a fan of Touchdown Tom and the Patriots. Rather, I was hoping that Brady would come back in time for Week 3, suiting up in time to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But National Football League Commissioner wasn’t on board with my plan.

You see, my brother-in-law is a huge Jacksonville Jaguars fan. I know, you’re probably thinking those don’t exist. But there is at least one.

If you’ve ever met a Jags fan, you probably know that it’s fun to make of the Jaguars. It’s too easy. So I was hoping Brady would come back just in time to take on the Jaguars, routing them in the process to show he’s back and ready to try and defend his fourth Super Bowl title.

But, for once, the Jaguars are catching a break. They get to avoid playing Tom Brady. They’ll still have to take on Bill Belichick’s team nonetheless. And the likely outcome isn’t going to be favorable for the one Jaguar fan I know.

And if by some chance the Jaguars upset the Patriots, I’m sure they’ll still have a lousy season and I’ll have plenty of reasons to remind my brother-in-law that he’s a fan of a really, really bad team.
