Automatic Patience
I was born with automobile love in my system. Grew up
watching my Dad driving and me fighting to sit in front seat and just observing
how everything is working.
Soon came the time when I was old enough to snatch that car
and drive on my own. What a feel of having those wheels in my hands!!
Initially I was all happy to drive any car coming in my
hands, as long as I don’t have to take public transportation(Guilty). After all
I was getting one!
All my college life I drove a manual car. I was pretty sure
I would buy a new one once I get a job. But, fortunately my first job had great
timings where I never got stuck in traffic and there were no issues with my
existing car.
Reality struck me really hard when I changed my job, and I
had regular office timings like everybody else in Delhi/ NCR and suddenly I
could relate to all the sad and painful stories I used to hear from my friends
and family.
Now it was me who was posting long traffic jams on my
Snapchat story. My knee and foot started giving up now. It was not even funny :/
I started getting angry and irritated with everybody at
office because I used to arrive so frustrated at home and office.
With every minute passing, we are moving towards an
automated lifestyle. So why it cannot be ME! I knew what I had to do!
I was very clear; I am done with this “manual car “named
machine in my life! It is practically not possible to drive a manual car in
Delhi/ NCR and be sane at the same time. I had to get an automatic car.
If I can’t reduce the population, can’t control the traffic,
can’t change my office timings (because still don’t own the company), least I
could do is change my Car. Well, trust me, “The Best” decision I ever made.
With my tiny, penny sized salary, now I wanted an economic
Automatic Car. A girl can dream right!!
My search for a small hatchback AMT car begun, it came down
to two cars finally because it just seems that you have multiple options now,
but, to be honest there not many options in the market.
Anyway, I went ahead with Maruti Suzuki Celerio. Happy with
its performance, now I just have to listen to my music when struck badly in
everyday traffic! No more pain, No more anguish! Automatics can actually make
your life easy and teach you patience.
