Hong Kong is a melting pot of artists, designers, photographers and other creative individuals. If you have found your perfect accommodation in Hong Kong and are now looking for the perfect gallery, here are the must-visit art galleries you need to visit in town:

Above Second

This urban art gallery opened in 2010 and features a wide variety of illustrations, graffiti art, art works in comic book style and other pop culture influenced work. In the past artists who have displayed their works here include Pure Evil, Alec Monopoly and local artists Kristopher Ho and Parent’s Parents.

Ben Brown Fine Arts 

This is the second gallery in this chain, the first one being in London’s Mayfair. This minimalist and powerful gallery displays works by international artists for solo exhibitions such as Ron Arad, Miquel Barceló, Claude & Francois-Xavier Lalanne and Vik Muniz. You will also find works by modern artists including Alighiero Boetti and of course, Pablo Picasso.

The Cat Street Gallery

This popular gallery features a healthy mix of both international and local artists. Here you will find contemporary and modern art along with educational exhibitions and showcases. It originally started out as a platform for Australian artists to get a stronger presence in Hong Kong and included artists such as Emma Hack and Andrew Taylor.

Hanart TZ Gallery

This stunning gallery was opened in 1983 and is known to introduce and promote Chinese artists.  Established artists from greater China have also displayed here including Taiwan and Hong Kong.
