Are Industrial Diamonds as Good as Gemstones?by ABD Diamonds Pvt. Ltd. Leading Diamond Manufacture & Supplier
Mined diamonds are the natural diamonds which are usually sold for industrial applications. Many people think that diamonds are those of which are only suitable for jewelry that include 30% of gem quality. Industrial diamonds are different from the gem quality or CVD Diamonds.
Diamonds have the highest thermal conductivity and is the hardest substance on earth. These qualities are needed for any industrial purposes and used as abrasive for grinding, cutting, drilling, and polishing. It has proved to be a cost-effective compared to any other industrial diamond process as it last longer and cuts faster. Diamonds have chemical properties that make it ideal for wear and corrosion free, heat sinks in electrical circuits, wire drawing, computer disk drivers and other applications. These also include electrical, thermal, and optical properties in diamonds.
Are industrial diamonds like natural diamonds?
Synthetic diamonds are material that is chemically identical to natural diamonds. The majority of the mined diamonds are industrial that represents 3% of diamonds used in industries and 97% are synthetic diamonds. These can be manufactured in large quantities by chemical vapor deposition diamond manufacturers and tailored to specific applications.
It has been said that synthetic diamonds are formed by HPHT or by CVD technology. HPHT works in a high temperature whereas CVD works in a lower temperature and pressure. CVD diamonds are cost-effective and been chosen more often by the manufacturers. They create colorless diamonds near to the quality, and appearance of natural stones.
Factory made diamonds are nothing but lab grown diamonds that are created in specific labs. Even expert gemologists cannot make out the difference between the earth’s crust diamond and synthetic diamond. These are chemically and physically the same with minor changes related to chemical properties known as simulant diamonds.
