The date of the examination is 16 May 2016 and the result will be declared on 27 May 2016. To check the result, candidates have to access the website and enter details such as application/roll number and date of birth. On entering the details and pressing submit button, result cum scorecard will be displayed on the screen from where it can be printed. Result will form the basis of a candidate’s selection for the next round of admission process i.e. counselling. Based on the marks obtained in the examination, candidates will be arranged in a merit list. Higher score means lower rank which means better chances of getting favorite allotment. Once the candidate is featured in the merit list, he will be called to mark options of colleges and programs in the decreasing order of preference. Composition of API CET 2016 Result and Merit List

The candidates who appear in the exam will be able to check the result from the process described above. However, as there would be a limited number of seats to allot in comparison to the number of candidates, a screening factor will be applied. This factor known as cutoff will be compared against score of the candidates. If marks obtained in the result are more than or equal to the cutoff, the candidate will be considered as qualified.
