All About NMAT 2017

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) was established by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) in 1981 to felicitate the students of the adjoining areas with Business studies in order to inculcate Business strategies in them. Subsequently, the Institution with constant foreign and national input became the center of innovation with more than 450 full time faculties and then in the year 2003, the Institute was made a deemed to be University from UGC.

Since then, the NMIMS University holds NMAT 2017 Entrance Test in the far end of the year to induct students for its Business course at four centers namely Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Sherpur. The University has nine constituent University Schools for the studies involving Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Commerce, Business Economics, Science, Law and Management. The University also has a Distance learning center.

NMAT Application Form 2017

The NMAT Application Form is available on the official website of NMIMS. The Registration for NMAT 2017 started from 4th July 2016 will last up to 3th October 2016. The candidates can employ the following methods to fill the form online:

  • Visit the official website of NMIMS
  • Find the NMAT 2017 Notification, click on that
  • The following page will take you the Application page
  • Furnish all the details and paste the scanned Image and Signature at the requisite place
  • Download the challan form and pay the fee
  • Also download the whole Application form Registration Id details

NMAT 2016 Application Fee:

The candidates will have to pay Rs.1600 as Application Fee. For late comers, the fee will be Rs.2000. However, for every retake, the candidate will have to pay Rs.1600 each to the authority. There is no constitutional benefit for the SC/ST/OBC category students.

NMAT 2016 Exam Overview:

NMAT 2017 Examination will be conducted by NMIMS in a test window opening from 7th October 2016 to 20 December 2016. The candidates can take two retakes (total of 3 attempts) in that span of time. The best score obtained out of all the retakes will be considered for admission. The Examination will be conducted at the online centers put up by the University. However, the candidates can opt for their choice of centers in the  Nmat By Gmac Application Form. After viewing the scores of all the retakes, the best percentile score shall be revealed by the conducting authority. The NMAT 2017 Result will be declared on January 2017.

Test Centers for NMAT 2017:

NMIMS divides centers to the candidates based on the locality of the student. Here is the list of probable 27 test centers Zone wise:
North Zone – Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur and Lucknow
South Zone – Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin
Central Zone – Bhopal, Indore and Bhilai
West Zone – Mumbai, Nagpur and Ahmedabad
East Zone – Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna and Bhubaneswar

However the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview part will be conducted only at the Mumbai Center.

NMAT 2017 Eligibility criteria:

The candidates appearing for the NMAT 2017 must have graduated from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in any discipline. The candidates must possess the legitimate documents to support the same. Apart from that the candidates need to have two or more years of Post-qualification work experience. Those candidates who are in the final year of their graduation are also eligible for appearing in the examination.
