Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition: All New and Improved Things

by Oliviya Strome Web Deigning

Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition is all set to launch on Steam, Windows Store, and Xbox Game Pass on October 15, 2020. Players will see some huge changes in the Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition. After the Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, the Age of Empires 3 was the most admired version of the game. Age of Empires 3 was launched in 2005, and now fans are so excited for the Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition.

Even after years, players are still playing the Age of Empires 3 because of the playing experience. With the ultimate strategy and bombastic experience, players truly became a fan of this game which is why now they are so excited for the updated version. In the upcoming version, players will see improvements in UI, Battles, Visuals, and many more. So before the game arrives, find out some biggest improvements.

UI Changes

Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition managed to change the user interface of the game on a significant level. The real estate section has moved around, and the minimap is also placed on the bottom right corner of the display. The details of buildings, unit information, are now on the left corner side. Now the whole section has shrunk, and it’s taking less space. Along with it, the title of some specific ages has changed. The “Colonial Age” is now the “Commerce Age,” and “Discovery Age” is now the “Exploration Age.”

Swedes and Incas

Swedes and Incas have also arrived in the game. The European faction inspires the majority of the functions and parts of Swedes. However, players have to place the house strategy-wise to keep the resources near them. They can also be placed close to the clumps of trees and mines to keep the eyes on resources as well.

The Aztecs also inspire Inca. Just like the Swedes, Inca also has special house replacements. They carry more people and food in their area.

Historical Battles and Art of War

Historical battles are unique but quite challenging. Indeed, it is one of the best things about the campaign missions. This mode will also get some major improvements, and there will be no requirement to unlock other scenarios. The Art of War is more like it is available for the new players because it’s a great way to learn the game. Any new players should play it once to understand the basics of the game. However, it contains some challenges that players have to complete. Players have to try multiple scenarios to get gold, silver, or bronze. Sometimes, it’s even difficult for an experienced player to get the gold. So it’s better to try different scenarios.

Home Cities Does Not Require Leveling Up

In the Age of Empires 3 cards were used to level up the Home City, but there are chances that the Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition will not go with the same procedure. In the beta, version cards are available for cosmetic changes, but if there will be any improvement in the official release, players will know about it.

Conclusion

As per the changes and updates, it seems the things are going to be quite different in the Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition. Some of the improvements are in favor of the players, but some changes don’t seem to fit well. According to the beta version, the challenges and battles are also difficult. However, if players are confused about anything, they’ll get to know once the game arrives.
