With more people trying to save on daily expenses, it’s no wonder why car manufactures are making more and more cars with hybrid capabilities. Since hybridity is turning into a must-have feature for a lot of car owners Acura has made a smart move by providing luxurious, affordable hybrid vehicles that fit the need. Throughout the past couple years, Acura has manufactured some great hybrids that definitely lived up to the respected car brand and name.

One of the hybrid Acura cars that found a lot of success was the 2014 Acura ILX. This car was praised for being a spacious and comfortable car that made driving a pleasure. Its simple yet professional sedan style made it stand out without being too flashy.

The main kicker behind this car was how it was powered. Since it was a hybrid vehicle it had an electric motor as well as a four-cylinder engine with an automatic transmission. Therefore it was quite powerful, yet gas efficient all at the same time. It also came with a unique engine stop-start feature that would turn the car off at stop lights and then resume when the driver accelerates. It’s features like this that are shaping the future of cars and also help people save on gas prices.

The ILX isn't the only car that comes with hybrid features. Acura has also provided several other cars that offer similar features, such as the 2015 RLX Sport Hybrid.

When this RLX Sport Hybrid debuted at the LA Auto Show, people were very impressed with what it had to offer. Once again, Acura hit a home run with the hybrid features. The RLX Sport Hybrid comes packed with a V6 engine—just like their RLX P-AWS—and also throws some batteries and electric motors into the mix.

This combination of the V6 engine and electric motors puts the RLX Sport Hybrid at an expected 30 miles to the gallon combined fuel economy. With the electric motors putting out 377 horsepower, it is safe to say that this hybrid car will not disappoint when it comes to power and gas efficiency.

Acura has always been seen as an affordable luxury car brand; adding hybrid features only boosts its credibility. Judging by the way things are going for this car brand and the hybrid car market in general, it is safe to say that Acura will be around for a long time.
