An acting portfolio is a collection of the works that you have done or are doing, in an attempt to make a name for yourself in the acting business. In other words, it’s a sort of resume. This portfolio can serve as a blueprint for anyone who is interested in learning more about the industry and applying their talent to a number of different roles.

WHEN I WAS BEGINNING MY ACTING CAREER, MY ACTING PORTFOLIO CONSISTED OF ONE VERY WELL-DEVELOPED CHARACTER THAT I HAD BEEN CAST TO PLAY.

Because of this, I decided to make a career out of the character, so that I could showcase not only my acting skills but also my hard-working personality.

One of the greatest things about being an actor is that you get to choose your own acting career. If you choose to pursue it, then that’s great. If you decide to just be in your local community or start out on television, that’s great, too. But the important thing is to always build a portfolio that shows off all of your talents. And the best way to do that is to make your acting portfolio available to the public.

AS AN ASPIRING ACTOR, ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER IS THAT YOU NEED TO HAVE MULTIPLE ACTING PORTFOLIO BACKUPS.

One of the biggest mistakes that I see people make is to only take one acting class.

Just make sure that you show them that you have several acting classes under your belt. You don’t necessarily need to take every class that they offer. In fact, you might consider taking one class in particular, and then another in a city that you plan on visiting.
