A convenient and compact clinical chemistry system, the Piccolo Xpress is available in leading New York lab equipment companies at a great price. With this device, physicians’ offices are assured of lab-accurate results within minutes for a wide range of clinical chemistry needs. Its extensive menu features 31 blood chemistry tests 11 of which are CLIA waived. The tests include liver, kidney and metabolic functions as well as lipids, electrolytes and other specialty analytes. The tests are also conveniently configured into 16 completely self-contained reagent discs.

The device self-calibrates with every run. The continuous, on-board iQCT (Intelligent Quality Control) scrutinizes the analyzer, sample, and reagent reactions to ensure instrument integrity and chemistry. This portable clinical chemistry system is designed for accurate, near-patient testing. This analyzer, allows providers to get vital information at point of care to diagnose and treat in a single visit.  This will improve care efficiency, practice throughput, and staff efficiency.

How It Works?

No special training is needed to operate this low maintenance system. It does the entire task of checking the reagent reactions utilizing nine wavelengths, calculating results from absorbance information, and revealing the results. Just 3 steps and 12 minutes are all it takes to get results:

* Collect 100uL of whole blood, serum or plasma and transfer it into the self-contained reagent disc

* Follow the touch screen commands and press the “Analyze Sample” option

* Place the disc into the analyzer drawer and enter the requested information

The results are ready in approximately 12 minutes and can be read the on the display. Complete panel results include patient demographics, chemistry concentrations, reference ranges, sample integrity indices and iQC®. Results can be printed on a self-adhesive roll-tape, or transmitted to an external printer, computer or LIS/EMR system
