A brief history of Android- from Cupcake to Oreo

As a media brand, the version of Android mobile operating system from Android 1.0 to Android 9 was a great turn over and it has number of updates to its base OS since its initial release. Android "Cupcake" (version 1.5) is the third version of Android developed by Google, a major platform release deploy able to Android-powered handsets starting in May 2009, that is no longer supported. Whereas, Android "Oreo" (codenamed Android O during development) is the eighth major update and the 15th version of the Android operating system. It was first released as an alpha quality developer preview in March 2017 and released to the public on August 21, 2017.
