1: Steel
Data from the General Administration of Customs on January 14 showed that China exported 11.301 million tons of steel in December 2025, an increase of 1.321 million tons from the previous month, a month-on-month increase of 13.2%; the cumulative export of steel from January to December was 119.019 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%.
In December, China imported 517,000 tons of steel, an increase of 21,000 tons from the previous month and a month-on-month increase of 4.2%. From January to December, China imported a total of 6.059 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 11.1%.
2: Car
In December 2025, China exported 994,000 vehicles; from January to December, the cumulative exports were 8.324 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 30.0%.
3: Rare earth
In December 2025, China exported 4,392.1 tons of rare earths; from January to December, the cumulative exports were 62,585.2 tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%.
In December, China imported 9,951.6 tons of rare earths; from January to December, China imported 101,062.0 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 24.0%.
4: Home appliances
In December 2025, China exported 370.11 million units of household appliances; from January to December, the cumulative exports were 4,452.947 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 0.6%.
5: Ship
In December 2025, China exported 536 ships; from January to December, a total of 6,690 ships were exported, a year-on-year increase of 16.2%.
6:Iron ore
In December, China imported 119.647 million tons of iron ore and its concentrates, an increase of 9.107 million tons from the previous month and a month-on-month increase of 8.2%; from January to December, China imported a total of 1,258.709 million tons of iron ore and its concentrates, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%
7: Coal
In December, China imported 58.597 million tons of coal and lignite, an increase of 14.544 million tons from the previous month, a month-on-month increase of 33.0%; from January to December, China imported a total of 490.270 million tons of coal and lignite, a year-on-year decrease of 9.6%
8: Copper
In December 2025, China imported 437,000 tons of unwrought copper and copper products; from January to December, China imported 5.321 million tons of unwrought copper and copper products, a year-on-year decrease of 6.4%.
In December 2025, China imported 2.704 million tons of copper ore and its concentrate; from January to December, China imported 30.310 million tons of copper ore and its concentrate, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%.
9: Aluminum
In December 2025, China exported 545,000 tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products; from January to December, the cumulative exports were 6.134 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.0%.
