Why So Many Network Marketers Fail
The most effective way to examine and study MLM’s successful people is to have an understanding of why the majority of distributors fail. Not only will this help you appreciate and understand the business and the importance of operating successfully, but it will also help educate those who may want to venture into the network marketing industry. Therefore, I have listed below what I think are the reasons for this.
Misguided by HYPE
The unrealistic view that new distributors have is probably the number one reason why so many fail so quickly. The industry as a whole is full of expectations such as “easy money”, “work from home” “get rich”, “over-night success”. After a week or two when these things don’t happen, enthusiasm levels of new distributors begin to wane.
Failure to Build a Real Business
One of the most common misconceptions in network marketing is that you can get rich overnight by making a few phone calls or cold contacts on social media or forums. After a few weeks, the excitement of selling wears off. Many never go beyond their warm market of friends and family because they do not know how to find, qualify, or make a proper presentation to new prospects.
Fear of REJECTION
The reluctance of salespeople to ask for the business and face rejection is a common reason why people give up. The ability to “ask for the business” is a very important skill in any sales environment.
Lack of knowledge of how to market online
Spamming social media is a sure-fire way to lose friends, and credibility as a business person. Smart network marketers treat their business as a brand and market it as such.
Lack of CONSISTENCY
You are where you are today because of the compounding effect of daily effort. If you quit before momentum builds, it will fail.
