His journey into finance began early. Spinner started reading The Wall Street Journal daily at age 12 and purchased his first stock at 13. By 15, he had secured a six-figure investment from Charles Dayan, a prominent New York real estate investor. At 18, he launched Petlin Management—now BlackBird Financial—with over $1 million in assets under management at inception.

Today, Spinner’s hedge fund is flying high, posting a 35% year-to-date return in 2025 and significantly outperforming the S&P 500’s 3%. Spinner is a CFA Charterholder, FMVA-certified, and has passed FINRA’s Series 7 and 66 exams.

Judah’s pursuits extend far beyond the markets. An avid traveler, car enthusiast, and adventurer, he has visited all 50 U.S. states, biked 153 miles from California to Arizona, and walked 75 miles across Florida. This summer, he will embark on the Mongol Rally—an epic journey from Prague to Kazakhstan in a junk car.

Deeply committed to giving back, Spinner supports a wide array of educational and communal organizations, including Yeshiva Day School of Las Vegas, Las Vegas Community Kollel, American Friends of Lubavitch in Washington D.C., YJP Las Vegas, RCCS, Yeshiva Heichal Hatalmud, and others. He also serves as a mentor with Big Brother Big Sister.

Featured in Image Magazine in November 2023, Judah Spinner exemplifies the rare fusion of sharp investment insight and unbounded personal ambition.
