Current sensors, also known as current transducers, measure the current flowing through a conductor by monitoring the magnetic flux associated with the conductor. They can measure AC or DC current while providing galvanic isolation between the high-current source and sensor output.

ICE offers both busbar mount and PCB mount options in current sensors. Both utilize a unique hall effect device that operates parallel to the current flow and are programmable. The advantages to the end user are small packages for the current measured significantly helping reduce overall design size. The ability to program the measurable range maximizes the voltage output resolution.
