Manaslu Circuit Trek: A Journey Through the Himalayas

The Manaslu Circuit Trekking is a hidden gem in Nepal’s Himalayas, offering breathtaking views, diverse landscapes, and an immersive cultural experience. Unlike the more crowded trails of Everest and Annapurna, Manaslu remains relatively untouched, making it a perfect choice for those seeking adventure and solitude.

Day 1-2: Kathmandu to Soti Khola

Our journey began in Kathmandu, where we completed trekking permits and gear checks. A scenic drive along winding mountain roads led us to Soti Khola, the gateway to Manaslu.

Day 3-7: Trekking Through Lush Valleys and Remote Villages

As we ascended through Machha Khola, Jagat, and Deng, the landscape transformed from lush forests to terraced fields and rocky cliffs. We encountered friendly locals, including Gurung and Tibetan communities, who warmly welcomed us with their unique traditions and lifestyles.

Day 8-10: Reaching Lho and Samagaun

Passing through Lho, we were rewarded with our first stunning views of Mount Manaslu (8,163m). At Samagaun, we acclimatized and explored the ancient Pungyen Gompa, set against a dramatic Himalayan backdrop.

Day 11-13: Conquering Larke Pass (5,160m)

The highlight of the trek was crossing Larke Pass, a challenging yet rewarding ascent. The sunrise over the snow-covered peaks was unforgettable, with views stretching across Annapurna, Himlung, and Cheo Himal.

Day 14-16: Descent to Besisahar and Back to Kathmandu

After the exhilarating pass, we descended through lush rhododendron forests and traditional villages before driving back to Kathmandu, carrying unforgettable memories of this incredible journey.

Final Thoughts

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. With fewer crowds, it offers an authentic Himalayan experience, making it one of Nepal’s most rewarding treks.
