From 2014 you can now easily apply for an online tourist visa within 15 days of your date of arrival in Nepal. From your home within a short period. You’ll need some pieces of information like the address of your hotel and a recent digital version of a passport-sized phone that you can upload for the application. After submitting the information your process for a visa will be started. You have to print out the confirmation receipt and show that to the immigration officer upon arrival. Be sure to bring your passport and the proper amount of money to pay for your visa. Be sure your visa is valid for the next 6 months. • Tourist Visa 

Tourism is the same as a visiting visa which is allowed to people to spend their holiday or recreation. It is for a stay up to three, six, or twelve months. It can also be used for short-term non-work purposes.

• Who should apply?

This visa is available to all passport holders who are outside Nepal and want to apply for a visa to visit Nepal for a different kind of purpose.

Advice for Online Visa Applicants

By submitting an Online Visa Application you can avoid long queues and unnecessary problems but make you kindly submit the complete online visa applications form to the Immigration Authority of Nepal. If it is your first attempt in Nepal then, here are some of the things you need to prepare.

1. Keep your valid passport in hand

2. In your removable device ready a recent digital photograph (size 1.5” x 1.5”) to upload your photograph for the application

3. Gather beforehand 

1. a detailed permanent residence address, and

2. detailed address in Nepal.

4. You’ll have to provide telephone numbers, landline, and mobile.

5. Provide your email address through which you can be reached.

6. After submission for 15 days, the submitted application will remain in the system. After 15 days, the system will automatically delete the application from the system.

7. A receipt will be sent to your email address immediately after the successful submission of your application.

8. As you get the receipt print it and then keep it with you as you’ll need to produce it before the Authority of Immigration.

9. For your convenience, the deadline when to contact the Immigration Authority will be mentioned in the receipt.

10. The documents which you’ll need to produce before the Immigration Authority would be mentioned in the documents.

11. You’ll have to contact the Immigration Authority within 15 days after the submission of the application.

12. Please make sure you have the receipt and proper documents with you including the necessary fee while contacting the Immigration Authority.
