Solution: Delete the QBMaker Files On the System

To restrict QBMaker, delete the .config and .manifest executable files. Follow the steps given below to perform the action. 

Note: It is important to delete these files from the local drive, not from any cloud storage or network drive. 


  • Open File Explorer.

  • Navigate to the C: drive.

  • Within the C: drive, locate the Program Files folder. 

  • Look for a folder named QBMaker.

  • Within the QBMaker folder, find the file 90s.trf

  1. QuickBooksDownloader.exe.config

  2. QuickBooksDownloader.exe.manifest

  • Select these files by clicking on them.

  • Once selected, click on the Bin icon in the top menu bar of File Explorer to delete them.

  • After deleting these files, launch QuickBooks and open the company files.

  • Lastly, check whether the QuickBooks error code 3645 has been resolved after restricting the functioning of QBMaker.
