6 Uses of Foam

Foam is defined as a substance which is formed by trapping the pockets of a gas in either liquid or solid form. It has many uses and finds applications in different industries. The main types of foam are polyethylene, quantum, phenolic and XPS. There are many uses of foam. Here are mentioned  just six of their uses.

Construction:- Today, a large number of homes are insulated and decorated with shapes cut from foam. All types of architectural shapes such as sills, moldings, trims are cut easily to supply this industry.

Cases – Foam, which is polyethylene in nature is used extensively for padding cheap aluminum cases. It is used in making cases because it doesn’t hold moisture or retain gases and therefore holds the valuables well.

Beddings- Polyethylene foam and memory foam are used for making various bedding things. They are used in making varieties of bedding mattresses for kid’s sleepovers. They are also used for making - premium foam mattresses to provide extra comfort and support. .Nowadays many commercial foam companies are coming into the front and one such company is Luxafoam which supplies foam in Northern Beaches. They are known for their high quality and durable foam.

Automobiles- In automobile industry foam is used for making car and truck seats and motorcycle seats.

Re upholstery- Foams are used for changing the look of the furniture and to increase its durability and strength. Sometimes a couch or sofa can be improved by replacing the older foam by a new one.

Packaging- Foam is used in the packaging industry. It is the least expensive, but one of the best packaging materials used for protecting items.
