Amsterdam is a name in itself. Somehow, we forget it's also the capital of Netherlands famed for its artistic canal system, excellent art, elaborate heritage, classic museums, gabled narrow houses, and age-old legacies.

Apart from the city's rich features, Amsterdam's hedonistic side is vibrant as ever. With the bandages off, the crowd has an inclination more towards the abundant bars, clubs, nightlife, and the blatant Red Light District of the city. So, what is really attracting masses year after year with cheap holidays to Amsterdam?

What is Famous in Amsterdam?

Amsterdam was a city, which was hidden behind it's big brothers - London or Paris. It was just a mere playground, where everyone enjoyed good times.

The bewildering question is - what really is best in Amsterdam? On one hand, the museums display the relics and remnants of an interesting past; on the other hand, the nightlife and the RLD or the Red Light District remains a drug den for young people and backpackers.

Live sex? Oh yes! The city remains an exposed bottomless pit for unbarred porn and parties. Phew!

During the daytime, if you walk on the side pavements, admiring the unique houses and shops, you are sure to stumble upon museums, especially the most loved and famous Rijksmuseum. Now that is a tongue twister. Close to this amazing museum, lie Stedelijk and the Van Gogh Museum.
