5 Things to Check before Buying a Used Two-Wheeler

by Samuel Charles SEO

Buying a two-wheeler is a dream for many of us. Due to many reasons we will opt for a second hand or used two-wheeler. It requires quite an effort to buy a used two-wheeler. Because the bucks you spend do not end only with the two-wheeler, it also extends to its maintenance, fuel, and many more to come. So one must know the following five tips before he/she decides to buy a used two-wheeler.

Know the purpose: The first step, be clear about why you need a two-wheeler. If you need it for daily use, look for fuel-efficient two-wheelers. If your priority is to travel long roads, then look for the ones that have a powerful engine. You cannot ride a cruiser on long-distance roads.

Examine: Don't judge a book by its cover. They may look shiner outside, but you need to examine staring from mirror to engine. Looks for dents, spark plug, engine health, rusts in any parts of the bike, note every single detail in them.

Maintenance history: Ask for the service record of the two-wheeler. Note the number of kilometres the two-wheeler has ridden. You can find the efficiency of the two-wheeler by knowing the vehicle's age and the number of kilometres it has been used for.

Ask for documents: Make sure the number of the plate and the registration documents are the same. It is difficult to find the number in an old engine; a mechanic can help you find it. Check for RC book, insurance of the vehicle. Bike insurance is mandatory.

Test drive: If you are good at automobile knowledge, you can tell the two-wheeler's performance just in five minutes ride. If you are a novice, ask for help from your friend or a trusted mechanic.
