5 Steps to Stylishly Stacking Your Rings

by Mark Batham Internet Marketer

Do you ever feel like you have too many rings and not enough fingers? Well, now there’s a simple solution - stack them! Stacking your rings is a creative way to assert your own unique style and curate an eclectic look. Follow our 5 steps to stylishly stacking your rings and you’ll never need to choose between your Jewel Tree London rings again.

1) Make a plan

How many fingers you decide to stack all depends on the degree of statement you wish to make. Limiting your stacked fingers per hand to a maximum of three will keep your look refined and sophisticated. If you want to stack bold or blingy rings, limit the stacking to one or two fingers maximum. Next, the choices of rings available to you. When building up your own collection of stackable rings, bear in mind that you’ll need to ensure you buy the right sizes. Each finger is unique and sizes will vary slightly. Use an online ring size guide to determine your sizes and approach your stacking rings as your own personal art collection!

2) Keep it personal

Let’s go back to what you want your stacked rings to say about your own identity. You could stack your rings in a way that channels your personal story. One option is to layer your finger with rings encrusted with your own birthstone plus those of your nearest and dearest.

Alternatively, stack rings engraved with names of your loved ones or meaningful quotes. If you wish to stack your engagement ring and wedding band, furnish the neighbouring fingers on that hand with other rings your partner has gifted you with or that you’ve purchased together.

3) Mind your metals

Keeping gold and silver seperate is a jewellery taboo which has long since been laid to rest! The key to mixing metals stylishly is to do it strategically and cohesively. Don’t have one hand shrouded entirely in gold, whilst the other is purely draped with silver. Weave the colours together to soften the juxtaposition. For example, if you wear gold stacking ringson your middle finger, try adding one gold and two silver bands to either your ring or index finger.

4) Modern or vintage

When curating your stacking rings aim to keep a theme between your rings in terms of era. Decide whether you want to channel a contemporary or retro look. A collection of edgy, geometric urban green onyx ringsstacked together with other modern designs will look striking. As an alternative, dainty antique rings encrusted with precious gems paired with similar old-worldly pieces will look picture-pretty. But do avoid mixing up your decades and centuries.

5) Maintain balance

When you’re stacking your rings, adopt a modest approach to the rest of your ensemble. Remember, you want to draw attention to your fingers! Consider leaving your wrists bare and use simple gold stacking ringsas a base for your layers of rings. If you are opting for bold stacking rings or period jewels, balance things out with a more sombre outfit.
