Discovery. Once you tune into the intriguing shows on these educational direct-to-home channels, you will no longer feel the need to watch over-dramatic reality show which adds nothing to your knowledge reserves. 

2. Watch the news - Remember, you were asked to read newspapers by the teachers from day one. Knowing everything about academic disciplines or being the topper wouldn’t necessarily make a big difference unless you are aware of the things around you. Between your college assignment, commitments for friends and family, time flies. This doesn’t give you an excuse to skip enlightening yourself with the latest updates. An outburst from the public against a crime or government policies create mass movements that spread like wildfire in the local communities. 

If you don’t watch the news, you will lose the chance of participating in life-changing experiences that bring you together will like-minded people. The students who are aware of the latest happenings in their region, country or worldwide are proactive citizens. Today a number of platforms such as change.org run petitions which have led the common people to alter the decisions of country leaders. Thus, the students who don’t want to miss out on their rights a daily dose of CNN, BBC and NDTV are pivotal. It will take just 10-15 minutes to go over the headlines. 

3. Read News Sources - It doesn’t matter to which stream you belong, being an avid reader will certainly help in all your endeavours. Yearly books, international newspapers, and GK magazines are the prime avenues to enhance your GK. Rajasthan University Result 2019 was announced last month, most of the students are having their holidays right now. An hour of skimming through ‘The Hindu’ will make you Mr. genius in the room. Newspapers are full of facts and figures about the various spheres in our life. It solidifies the concepts/ facts in your mind. Writing it down is the best form of revision. Hold a pen and paper, jot down notes and checking whatever you stated is right or not. Note-taking isn’t just for your classes at colleges, it is scientifically proven writing boosts memorization.   

5. Use your Senses - Last but not least, all you read is present around you. Open your senses to the surrounding, you will see everything your mind is absorbing in action. For example - Knowing the chemicals that are hazardous for health or not fit for human consumption, you can avoid the medicine that does more harm than good. Studying about the microorganism you would know the time limit in which a food item will get stale.
