NatWest has looked for some of the key ways through the scammers can try to cheat people in 2018 which can try to urge the consumers to be cautious of the potentials traps. Home buyers are warned to look out for the suspicious emails that intended to be from those dealing with the purchase.

NatWest Security Manager, Julie McArdle said that the scammers are waiting for their attempts to get in hand with the people’s money and are always looking for the new innovative ways to get their targets done. He further suggested keeping ahead of the scammers, one needs to be aware and thus keeping the country’s money safe and secure. This shows that the banks and the customers need to be evolving alongside the scammers.

The bank has worked with the Future Laboratory, the research agency to find out the scams that has been in form for the last 18 months and had passed out the prediction of the most 8 frauds in 2018. A bank will never ask its customer to provide them with the customer’s pin and password or to transfer the money for any fraud reasons

NatWest said to help the thwart scammers, people should be confident enough to turn off the spontaneous request for personal information.

If the customer feels some suspicious content or something is wrong, then it better to pause and question it. And they should always follow the bank’s security advice and never allows the remote access to their device, they asked from an unknown call or spam call.

The people should be careful enough to provide sufficient information on social media. And they should keep their device up-to-date with the latest security, as NatWest said.
