1. Dhyana Linga
This place is best for people who like to take meditation and learn yoga. It was built by Sadh Guru Jaggy Vasudev to teach Yoga and Practice meditation. Dhyana Linga Located near to the Veliyangiri Temple.
You can reach the place within one hour Travel from Coimbatore. It takes 30 KM road trip to reach there. A lot of buses are available from Gandhipuram bus stand to Dhyanalinga. A great Shiva Linga was built there, and a Semi-globe structure is built around the linga.
People are sitting around the linga and do meditation for a particular time. You have to keep pin drop silent inside the temple. It helps other people to concentrate on meditation and avoid distraction.
You can take a swim at Linga pool and pray the linga placed under the water. When you get into the water, you will feel the shake in your body.
2. Black Thunder
This is an amusement park and located near to the Ooty-Mettupalayam Road. It takes one hour and thirty minutes travel from Coimbatore to reach Black Thunder. You can take a bus trip from Coimbatore to reach Black Thunder.
This amusement park is filled with full of water games and other entertainments. Even a big guys will turn to the child and play games.
It is the best location for the family trip. Children enjoy more than Adults at the theme park. Bring your child to the amusement park and let them enjoy.
The best entertainment there are wild river ride and surf Hill.
3. Gass Forest Museum
This is an another interesting place in Coimbatore. The museum is located in Coimbatore to Mettupalayam Road. It is renovated a year ago by Tamil Nadu government.
J. A. Gamble first established the museum. He is a British forest officer. It has the picturesque collection of birds, insects, and other forest things. If you are a nature lover, then you must visit here.
4. Amaravathi Dam
The Dam is located 90KM away from Coimbatore, and you can reach there within 1.5 hours by travelling by car and 3 hours by bus travel. The Dam was built on 1957 by Kamarajar.
A lot of Crocodiles are living in this reservoir. The DAM was built in a natural location. The mountain has surrounded by forest and mountains and gives a good green view.
You can reach the Dam by travelling through Udumelpat to Munnar Road. Munnar is a summer vacation place which you must visit.
You can reach Coimbatore from top South Indian cities and through bus and flights. Coimbatore has an airport and lot of travels are running their bus service from Coimbatore to various major cities.
