4 Team-Building Activities To Implement In The Office

by Escaperoom R. Event Planner
Each business has a certain work culture, whether they deny it or not. Business owners also tend to think that their most valuable assets are their customers or clients, when in fact their most vital asset is their team, because the team is responsible for delivering their core services. Therefore, it’s necessary to keep their mental health in top condition by rewarding them with unconventional activities that lessen the burden of their workload.

Productivity is present with teams that have built trust, communication, and relationship with each other. Any team can build a relationship within time, but team-building activities build relationships fast. After a team-building session, awkward will never be a thing between team members again.

If you’re looking for corporate team building activities in Chicago or simply looking for activities to implement in your wide office space, here are 4 activities that can build a more effective team.

#1 Potluck

The easiest way for your team to learn more about each other is by encouraging a potluck. A potluck enables each member to show their cooking skills, food preferences and dislikes. Encouraging your team members to cook also heightens a sense of creativity, inducing individual productivity which eventually influences other team members.

#2 Water Balloon Toss

Have your team divide themselves into pairs and have them throw water balloons at each other. Another simple yet fun competitive activity. The goal is to pass the water balloon around without popping it.

#3 Two truths, One Lie

Want to build an activity sitting down? Two Truths, One Lie is a game where each member says one false fact about themselves along with two true things. Other members can win if they guess which anecdote is false.

#4 Body of Words

The goal is simple: to identify and guess the words. The process breaks the ice for any group. Alternately, ask volunteers for each group to draw words and letters using their bodies alone.

Asking your employees about their preferences is important when searching for the right team-building activity. Have them answer a casual poll during an afternoon coffee break or ask them individually -- it’s for them, either way.

Alternatively, you can leave it to a Mobile Escape Room near you. Check out their fun, sweat-breaking team-building activities on www.escaperoomraces.com and see if it suits your team!
