High-tech bathrooms have a breath-taking look. They’re sharp, immaculate – and they express modernity more than any other style. When renovating your home for a modern look, you’ve got to keep the high-tech style in mind – especially for bathrooms. This is something we’ll help you out with. Below, we’ll give you 4 tips on how to achieve a high-tech bathroom look.

Use the following tips to develop your vision of a beautiful looking home!

(1) Make Sure the Environment Shines.

A high-tech environment looks like a subtle night club environment. It should shine – reflecting light in highly creative ways. Now, shiny looks in a bathroom are achieved in 2 ways. The 1st is by proper design of bathroom flooring and walls. And the 2nd is by picking the right gadgets for your bathroom.

Bathroom Interior.

You need floors/walls that reflect light. Those textures should be present in as many parts of the bathroom as possible. The best candidates for achieving this look are ceramic, stainless steel, and concrete texture. This is not something you’ll get with hardwood or rubber installations. Avoid those if you want a high-tech bathroom.

White Lights.

The only acceptable form of lighting in any high-tech bathroom. Avoid old yellow light bulbs. Not only are they bad for your eyes, but they ruin the tech mood you want to create.

(2) Make Sure the Colors Remind You of “Tech.”

The colors you pick should not have a “nature-like” feel to them. In fact, anything that looks like something you’d see in a wildlife park should be avoided.

Base Tech Colors - Neutral.

Good “high-tech” colors are neutral, being black, white, and silver and their different tones. They reflect light best. And they’ll be the case colors you use for a high-tech look.

Complimentary Colors.

Avoid any color that’s fruity – unless it lies on the extremes of the color spectrum. So – orange, yellow, green, and blue should be avoided. Especially their lighter shades – which look too natural. You can use dark purple or blood red to add a complimentary touch to base tech colors. But those shouldn’t be used too much.

(3) Your Choices of Bathroom Utilities.

Don’t pick utilities with circular or curvy designs. Instead, make sure all utilities have sharp angles, and look box-like. So don’t pick a sink with curving angles. Pick one that closely resembles a cuboid. The same goes for showerheads, water heaters, toilets, mirrors, windows, and bathtubs.

Exception to the Curvy Rule.

Towel warmers, hangers, and even bins don’t have to follow this rule. But it would be a bonus if you could find designs that fit the previous criteria.

Another Feature – Space Saving.

You don’t want high-tech just in looks. You want the practicality too, as it makes the mood more authentic.

For example, when picking a toilet, choose one with water saving features. Look for a toilet that flushes water directly, without needing a storage tank. As another example – get an electric water heater. Don’t get a water heater that uses gas. And make sure that it is optimized for electronic hot water measuring.

(4) Your Choice of Walls and Flooring.

We saved the most important for last. This tip is important. Walls and flooring are the foundation of your high-tech look. And there are some rules to follow when working on them…

No Tiles.

Tiles look old school. You don’t want ceramic or PVC tiles. It’s a look that’s too reminiscent of 2000-2010. And it’s definitely not something that creates a high-tech atmosphere. Instead, you want walls and flooring that are easy to install.

Wall Panels.

Get interior wall panels for your bathroom.

They’re easy to install. And you can eliminate the boxy look of the average ceramic or PVC tile.

You also have many design options with interior wall panels. You can pick stainless steel panels, which give you the high-tech look you need.Or, you can go for normal whites, greys, and blacks! Again, make sure they follow the “shininess” rule we mentioned earlier.

Mix Up Colors.

You don’t need a single wall panel design across your entire bathroom.  Pick different colors that respect the previous rules.

For example, you can get 1 color for your walls, and another for your shower wall panels.
