Gurgaon, or Gurugram, is a bustling city located just 10 km away from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Historically rich and teeming with prime domestic and international businesses, Gurgaon is a busy city with a modern vibe. Its name has recently been changed to Gurugram in keeping with its original name from centuries ago.

The legend goes that Gurugram was a village that was gifted to Dronacharya as a gift for teaching the Pandava princes. Today, the ‘village’ is a bustling city with office complexes, famous restaurants and international hotels.

If you are visiting the city any time soon, you could book yourself into one of the several 5 star hotels in Gurgaon. Though there is a large variety of hotels to choose from, you should ideally check yourself into a 5-star hotel in Gurgaon. We recommend four of the best ones:

  1. The Leela Ambience Gurgaon Hotel & Residences. This is Gurgaon’s only lifestyle hotel and residences, designed with aesthetic excellence and with an eye for detail. Visitors love its exclusive ambience, the layout of the room and lobbies, and the many comforts it provides. Plus, there are several excellent dining options here, as well as the state-of-the-art Spa by Pevonia.

  2. The Trident, Gurgaon. This is one of Gurgaon’s low rise buildings, with a sprawling layout that makes use of seven acres of land. Hushed, green and full of the chirping of birds, The Trident offers convenience of location to both the airport and premium spots of recreation. Plus, the hotel prides itself on its use of natural light and air on the property to create a resort ambience.

  3. Courtyard Gurugram Downtown by Marriott. One of Gurgaon’s premier business hotels is also a good rest stop for the weary traveller stopping by briefly. It has well-furnished rooms, excellent facilities for business conferences and off-site corporate events, wonderful dining options and close proximity to such star attractions as the Taj Mahal and Jaipur.

  4. The Oberoi, Gurgaon. Located just a stone’s throw away from the international airport at Delhi, The Oberoi is an expansive property spread over nine acres of land. It is designed with large open spaces and rooms flooded with natural light. It also has three gourmet restaurants for guests to enjoy sumptuous meals in.
