Braveheart or Kind Heart

Most of you will have seen the film BraveHeart.There is a lot of arguments about is it True ,I originally come from Stirling and went to the Wallace High School so we have the true story drummed into us.William Wallace did exsist there are no pictures of him,as a child I touched his real sword which had a 3 foot handle,he would have had to have been about 7 ft tall to use it.His bride was killed and he went on a total killing spree,he was a very brutal person towards the english as that part is true about how they treated the Scottish,this is where the inherant hatred of the english by the Scots originates from.There was no battle of Stirling,it was the battle of Stirling Bridge,where wallace and his group waited till they were half over,as there was bogs on both sides,then they went on a total killing spree lots of Knights got stuck in the bog and were sucked under,the river ran red,at the end he had the English Commander brought to him ,where upon he set about skinning him alive,and used his skin as a belt for his kilt.He had no time for nobles,didn't like Robert the Bruce,after the battle of Falkirk he went to France to buy more weapons and to get help(Scotland and france had an alliance for 700 years against the English).When he got to Paris he was Shocked to see how poor the common people were and they were starving.He used the money he had for weapons,to set up lots of soup kitchens and feeding areas,as he saw the plight of the Parisians in more need.When he came back he was betrayed and what they did to him is true.This actually shows the Scottish Psychie,we can be very ruthless and be very caring.

  This explains why the Lockerbie Bomber was freed.There is an old law in Scotland which allows anyone who is dying to go home to be with their loved ones.This is why he was released,not because of oil or Tony Blair,he used a law which is available to everyone,Some people believe he didn't do it in Scotland we have a 15 person jury and 3 verdicts Guilty,Not Guilty & Not Proven.The not proven rulling is we think you did it but there isn't enougth evidence,on that rulling you can be retried.His co-accussed got Not Proven and many including the leader of the family group in Britain believe he was just the fall guy,So he was released because as a Nation we have a very caring side,not oil ,or Tony Blair we have our own Government & we decide for our selves,and do you think a Nation that inheretally hates its next door neighbour,that we would help them,I think Not.The man was released on compassionate grounds to spend his remainder of his life with his family,everyone goes oh he is still alive,look at the pictures they are old one he probably died a while ago,but Gaddaffi keeps stirring it,Nelson Mandela,said it was the right decision.This maybe explains how a Nation who is well known for warring has a very compassionate side,you would thik they don't go togetheI started this with William Wallace so I will end it with him.The Monks of Canbuskenneth abbey in Stirling went around Britainand collected his body parts,and buried them secretly at the abbey and in 1314 at the Battle of Bannockburn Scotland defeated the most powerfull army in the world and got our Independace
