We sure had a great meetup event on April 30, 2011 in Austin, Texas. Our members' suggestions and ideas really helped open my eyes to some of the challenges facing people in their home-based businesses.One major challenge facing home-based business owners is generating sales or finding distributors for their products. The question for our meetup discussion was: "What are you currently doing to attract customers and distributors for your products?"
We learned that in order to attract customers and distributors for your products, you, first, have to give them a reason to come to you. Some of our meetup members said they give their prospects items of value, such as a free video, company promotional DVD, or product samples. Some offer free link exchanges and e-book downloads to their website visitors. And others attract customers and prospects by participating in social networking forums, such as Facebook, Twitter, and APSense. Those were all valuable contributions.
