Image I'm not sure where I want this article to go, but something is bothering me. I suppose it can go in the category of a rant, but here it is........

What does the word "guarantee" mean in the internet marketing world? There is a  dictionary definition. It's something like this;  a promise or assurance that something is of specified quality, content, benefit, etc .... assuring a particular outcome, etc" .
Most people probably have a good idea of the meaning.

So, does this meaning not apply in internet marketing / advertising?  To illustrate, take this little sentence from an email ad I received today :

"The system does 100% of the marketing for you and
even 100% guarantees your success!"

Am I supposed to believe this? My success (whatever that means) is 100% guaranteed. Really? Where do I sign?

That little sentence really go me going.  Then I started thinking about other words and their meanings. Words like  "easy" and  "the best".  Maybe they don't mean what I think the mean.

I don't know, I guess my little rant is over.

Except ............

.........You know what I'm thinking now, if people are really that gullible, there's this bridge...
