The Comments we get for our Campaigns

by Nnamdi A. Internet Marketer
This article is being written out of frustration about what members write here in order to steal credits from fellow members.

Pardon me, I intend to be harsh and also reveal the members I am angry with their comments on "Paid to Add Comment" campaigns. My last campaign is the point under reference.

This is the comment I made in one of the revpages regarding such comments;
"@Peter You are fond of commenting like you have done above. I just hope you know more words than you are using above.

What you are doing is called spamming and you do not deserve the credit you have received for this comment.

I am just going over to my own revpage to remove your comment which is the very same one you have posted above.

Cheating does not pay in the end. When you have no good comments to make, write nothing and go somewhere else."

I received the following comments through one of my "Paid to Add Comment" campaigns:
1.

nice program and wish others would like too........

Something has to be done about this kind of abuse, and fast, or else, others might begin to copy them. Attitudinal change might just be what we require.

I could not agree more.
I think if you check they have posted
the EXACT same comment in many places.

Just seems silly to me.
I like to be original...
That copy and paste stuff just doesn't cut it

You are so right.

They have, sadly, missed the whole point of branding.

You have started the movement towards doing something about these people. Others will follow.
Personally I decline the comments.
When these people are experiencing site wide declines,
they will most likely understand.

I have already deleted these comments from my revpage after reporting them as being unrelated to the post.

This has to stop and all of us should join hands to tell those involved in it that there are more decent ways to do business on the internet.

Decent businesspeople in APSense should not let these people have their way here or, all of us will lose out when the search engines start reporting APSense as a spammy site.

We must stop them now!!!

Bronnamdi I could agree with you more I have had some comments also and by the comment I could tell that some people were just trying to get their credits which is unfair because if you don't have anything worthwhile to say then why say it!!! Some don't care but people can always tell whether or not you are really into what they wrote about or if you are just saying something.

Yes, Toshiba, when people are not interested in reading and making meaningful comments, they should not steal the credits meant for those who have read the articles.

The credit system used here at APSense will do this to people.

Just like many people in safelists never even look at the mails in the safelists. They just click for credits.

The good thing is that in here we can see who is doing it, report them and have them marked as abusers and eventually removed from the system.

This means that what they are doing is hurting themselves more than it is hurting us.

Some people don't know the fact that by posting comments with value would increase traffic to their site as well. It is one of the coolest method to get backlinks to our website.

I know the credit thieves seem to be in endless supply! What I do it this I first decline the comment to deny them the credits. Then I add insult to injury by looking for that little link that says report abuse above every campaign comment and report them too.

Well these are so funny comments I had to laugh little bit. I already posted a few comments on articles like this. Really such a shame what people can put like comments, also they will never become noticed, they can only get reported and they will never succeed in their intention to become successful. Really sad for them.

I totally agree! I'm new to this system, but it seems like it'll be a good idea to have to verify comments before they are posted or at least before credits are rewarded. Sure, it'll take a little bit more time, but it may ensure quality comments.

I agree with your comments wholeheartedly however there are also some people that struggle with the english language and are doing their best so what do we do execute everyone that doesn't live up to our standards. Seems to me Hitler had similar ideas for solving that problem. of course this will be reported for abuse as does anything else that doesn't represent the popular view

Why should it be reported for abuse? We do know that English is not the first language of some people on the site but this is an English based site. Wincer's first language is Chinese and he is one of the founders and yet he communicates on this site in English.

Would you go to a site that is officially Portuguese and expect them to change everything to suit you because portuguese is not your first language?
And just for the record, People who want to communicate in other languages are welcome to create private groups for that purpose. Public Areas of APSense are English only. tp facilitate that requirement there is a translate biutton at the bopttom of every page for those who do not use English as a first language, that little red square right next to the twitter button.

So English not being the first language is not an excuse for credit theft. There are too many people on this site for which English is a second language who do follow the rules.

In addition to those type of comments, i equally observed that in my task campaign,so many members just wasting my credits,by submiting advertisements, puting apsense username instead of completed task username,i use to write pm them after checking his honour points, members with 100 honour points and above i think must have known up to 60% of how apsense works. I have pm a member who have 400 points, when he advertised his forum where i ask 'sign up for forum' in my campaign ,his submission was his own forum url for me to join. I pm him he told me because my forum does not have support, for a good apsense member joins programs he likes but not waste others credit. I told him i watch out for his task campaign and submit advertise if he will like it, since then know reply.

I think,we are brothers and sisters here let us be our brothers keeper stop stealing credits.
Apsense admin wincer have to post a warning before join campaigns as in apsense 2.0,microworkers,freelancers,stating 'join only one you can accomplish others leads to accounts termination'

I was intrigued by Cheryl's remedy for dealing with the people who may not be completing campaign tasks correctly and simply trying to gain some easy credits.

I thought that I would donate a few credits and run Paid To Add Comment campaign using this article. It seemed like an appropriate article to use since it deals with possible credit theft.

The results: 5 people have joined so far. The first person who submitted a comment added a complete word for word copy and paste of Toshiba's comment above. The third member to join the campaign added a plea to sign up to his blog. Both of these comments were declined, so I presume that the credits have not been awarded to these "commenters".

I believe that plans are being made to make some changes to the ways in campaigns will be conducted. I look forward to those changes, and hope that this issue of credit theft will be addressed.

Cheryl,

I love the way you say this :

"People who want to communicate in other languages are welcome to create private groups for that purpose. Public Areas of APSense are English only."

I will keep it in a file and add it to comments when I talk about it. I didn't know how to say it in a clear and concise way.

After you decline a pass-thru comment, I suggest to everyone what Cheryl told me a few weeks ago :

1- report for abuse
2- Wait 24 hours then delete

That way, it will be more enjoyable to people looking for informative comments

Surprisingly, those false commenters are not even reading this article. Otherwise, they would have seen that it is about them and not take the bait of free credit for commenting on this article set up by Neville.

What does this mean? The spammers do not read the articles they are spamming on. What a shame and a waste of talents. They should grow up.

We would hope so but this same thing has been said over and over again and when they do bother to come to posts like this, they do exactly what Neville reported to us. They spam it for credits.

They do not read they simply stick something in the comment box and move on to the next campaign that they can steal a few credits from. Yes Wincer is working on changing the campaigns.

They steal the credits so they can, well, run campaigns. This is not a joke. I've seen lottomediale do it many times a week

@Philippe I made the mistake of deleting the comments early. It would have been nice to let everybody see what they have said [or not said]. However, I copied them and they can be seen on the body of the article.

The campaign I ran with this article used as the bait for a Paid to Add Comment campaign has ended. 10 people responded. Of those 10, I declined the comments of 4 for adding comments that were Copy and paste (1) and Comments with links only (3).

Of the remaining 6 some of them were borderline as to whether the comment was meaningful, but I decided to given them the benefit of doubt and not decline them.

I wonder if a spam rate of 40% is typical of the results in a campaign like this?
