What if nothing works
You see yourself as a marketer.
Afterall, you have been at it for almost 2 years.
You have seen some successes.
Then.
You write a blog.
You put a lot of time into it.
You know the SEO is perfect.
You start your traffic campaigns. You know those will send you traffic after a couple of days.
BUT.
You need some traffic NOW.
O..K.. you think to yourself.. Let's try Twitter.
You know you had some success in the past with Twitter traffic.
Afterall you have more than a thousand followers there.
Besides, the post will be seen by everyone on Twitter, not just your followers. You are certain of a few clicks and hits to your post.
You think of a catchy line and add the link to your post and post it to Twitter.
You wait a while, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours...
NO Traffic
OH Well, you think. Let's post it again.
Same story
Post again, with another catchy line.
Same story.
Post again.
Same story
Not even a re-tweet from friends....
This is my story. This is happening to me right now.
Why is this happening?

One more suggestion I do this and so do a few others. I will run campaigns to view others APSense posts etc. I don't mind and I have seen people running campaigns to promote my posts also. Working together with each other benefits us all.

@Oldbuddy, Warren, Thanks for your input and private messages. I just wish you were my friend back when I just started with IM.

I would lay money down that you could do better right here on ApSense. Pick something that helps other people that they can get free and do a Rev Page for it, then write a Blog post and when they are in place, run a campaign to bring people to see it. I get a LOT more action that way than I ever did with Twitter.

@Cheryl. I did try that, still no luck.
Maybe you are right. I think, I do need to look at it from another angle.
As a computer tech, I should have checked if my tracking is working, or even my twitter acc. Some time ago my twitter acc was suspended, maybe it's the same now.
Thanks Cheryl for the new perspective.

Try approaching it from a different angle. As one of your friends or contacts to take a look at you blog. Ask them to give you a tweet is they like it and let them know you will return the favor by tweeting something of theirs.

@Paula, @Cheryl, @DeltaStarf. Thanks for your comments.
@Paula, I will check for that blog of yours. Thanks.
@Cheryl, ok, after I step back and gotten rid of the desperate feeling, I come back.. What do I do then?
I mean, what other avenues can I take to remedy the situation. It clearly doesn't help to do the same thing over and over again. That would just set me up for a fall again.
I just love Apsense, where there's a community of people that help each other. If there's medals for f

I meant to add that when it get's like this, it's time to step back take a deep breath and relax. Let go of it for a bit. When you get the desperate feeling out of your system then come back to it

That can be troubling. But I have noticed a little something in the few years I have been marketing. Desperation tends to bring the opposite of what you want.
You've tweeted and nothing, you've tweeted again. I've have found-for me at least-the harder I work at trying to force something to happen, the less chance it will happen

@Oldbuddy, Hi Warren.
I was the 5th or 6th person that joined the countdown. My problem is the promoting side. I do not have nearly enough people to post this to.
It's my first attempt to build my list.
This blog is actualy about a link I posted to twitter to get more people here at apsense. With a definite ZERO hit rate.
This seems to me that twitter as well as facebook, does not work for marketing. They are just time-wasters.

There is not nearly enough information here to tell you why it's not working, but keep in mind that if you keep doing what you have been doing, you will keep getting what you have been getting. Learn something new and step outside your comfort zone, like participate in the ApSense Christmas Countdown.
