Seniors do it too

I sometimes smile when I see the phrase "newbie" used on line today. Most think of a "newbie" as being a young person striking out on the internet to capture their dreams of wealth and the life of leisure while working from the comfort of their home. Actually the term "newbie" applies to anyone who is new to the world of the internet. It may be a young person looking to make it big with internet marketing or an older person just looking for a little extra income. It could be someone just looking for a little entertainment or to connect with others.

The term "newbie" creates the picture in one's mind of someone new to internet marketing with no concept on where or how to start to build their business or someone who is prone to join every new program that comes along and therefore is easy prey to the ruthless marketer who is out only to make money. They have no desire to help anyone and in most cases prefer that we continue with our ignorant ways so that we will follow them to the next hot new launch.

The truth is that a "newbie" is not regulated to a young person and not to someone who is striking out to make their mark on the internet. A "newbie can be of any age but no matter what the age, all "newbies" need the same thing.  Instruction as well as someone who will provide the leadership and patience to help them along until they are prepared to do it on their own. Someone or a program that will provide the tutorials on everything from copy and paste to the art of blogging. How and when to advertise and the proper use of autoresponders. How to write effective ads as well as how to communicate with your downline

The truth about "newbies" is it can most often be harder for seniors to conquer the use of the computer than it is for the younger. While seniors may have the wisdom to know when and how things should be done, they also have a harder time of comprehending the computer language. Seniors did not grow up with computers like the younger folks today so it is a completely foreign language to them when you tell them abut WYSIWYG.

So no matter what your age and no matter how much you think you know, keep in mind that the truly successful are continually educating themselves as the environment changes in the world of marketing. Find a good mentor, if you are joining a program to make money, contact your sponsor. If you are a sponsor, stay in touch with your downline and be wiling to help in all ways so that they may grow along with you. Find a solid company and stick with it and you will be well rewarded.
