Perseverance defeats anything

by Brad Gardner

Perseverance defeats anything. I am completely convinced of this. If you work at something hard enough and long enough you will eventually succeed. When I first started marketing all I would hear was how there were nothing but scams, ponzi scheme?s and crap out in the big WWW. In part the people who said this were right but you know what? I pursued it anyhow. 5 years later not only am I a fulltime marketer but I learned some of those people who were bashing what I wanted to do had actually never gave it a chance. They would sign up for some program, try it for a week then quit, then they would claim it was all a scam. This is one of the primary reasons most people give up on anything. They try something new; they don?t succeed and feel like a failure. They don?t have the courage to try again. It is easier to settle for less then to try again. You know I don?t care how many times something doesn?t work you don?t truly fail unless you quit. I can?t tell you how many times in the past, actually probably still today, that I either smashed a key board or through a mouse proclaiming I QUIT! Marketing SUCKS! 8 hours later I am still typing away. You see I have a relentless determination for what I do. I refuse to settle. Failure for me is fuel for my fire. If something doesn?t work I keep trying until it does work or I figure out how to make it work. Learn from your mistakes don?t burn. I have learned that failure on your way to success is a tool. It helps humble you and teaches us valuable lessons you can pass on to others. To anyone who may be reading this first THANK YOU I appreciate you taking the time to read what I wrote, I am grateful. Second whatever it is you are trying to do may it be marketing, losing weight, Giving up cigarettes, alcohol or drugs whatever it is you might be trying to do in your life NEVER GIVE UP. You may fall or fail but you never really fail unless you stop trying. Simple. Let me share with you a few people who could tell us all a little about adversity, pain and failure yet they refused to give up. You may know some of these folks:

*Henry Ford- He invented the automobile but went completely broke 5 TIMES before he finally succeeded in business.

*Walt Disney- O.k. get this, a newspaper he worked for fired him for lack of ideas. He then went bankrupt many times before building Walt Disney.

*Theodore Roosevelt- In 1884 his mother and wife both died on the same day before he went on to become a war hero and a President.

*Abraham Lincoln- I can?t believe this man didn?t crawl under a rock and disappear. He failed in business. He ran for legislature and lost. One year after that he failed at Business #2. The women he loved passed away and Abe had a nervous breakdown. One year after all that he lost another political race. A few years later he ran for congress and lost again. At 37 Abe finally got elected to congress only to be defeated 2 years later. He lost his bid for Senate, the next year he failed at becoming Vice President. At age 49 he was defeated again for Senate. Oh yes I forgot Abe had 4 sons as well, only one of them lived to be adults. FINALLY at age 51 Abraham Lincoln was elected President. Guess what? He led this country through one of its most difficult periods. Could you imagine what we would be missing out on today if any of those people would have said " Oh well this is to tough, I will never succeed. I quit" Now think of what the others may miss out on if you give up or quit. You never know.  Here is something to remember ?God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2Timothy1;7)

No brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing; forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven. (Philippians 3;13-14)

I read these daily and remember no matter what it is you are doing it all starts with you! Don?t Quit. Perseverance pays off. Never quit, never give up. You can do it. Success does not come easy; It may not be convenient; It may not come quickly. You may have to go over, under, around or through. BUT if you keep going you will get there, Refuse to give up and you will find a way.

To your success, Bradley G ( oposit)

Inspiring. Very inspiring. On your way to success, there will be many "discouraging voices" which will try to make you give up reaching for your dreams but do not let them. NEVER GIVE UP.
