Reaching your Goals

What's the one thing everyone today is looking for? Everyone is looking for this, some people are doing crazy things to get it and some people go crazy chasing it. So what is it? SUCCESS. EVERYONE is looking for success everyday. Its there goal or destination in life. Let me ask you this what is Success to you? Some see success as making lots of money and living comfortably. Others may see it as being the best in there line of work and having people look up to them. Some see success as accumulation of all kinds of materialistic things. Cars,clothes, nice house,expensive shopping. Some people simply view success with having a happy family,a loving wife or husband,good kids and a long life. Everyone has a dream of success.  Now I am a christian, I wear it on my sleeve,first thing I usually tell most people who ask about me. According to the bible If we "take delight in the Lord he will give us everything our heart desires"(psalms 37:4). What an AWESOME promise. So why does it seem this doesn't happen more often. You think many more people would be living healthy,wealthy and wise. Isn't this what most people want? Why aren't more people successful if that's what there heart desires?  I think a lot of this is because we have the wrong idea of what True success really is. God has a condition for success in all our lives,only one and that is to Take delight in him. In other words always put him first. Jesus once told his disciples " Live for him and make the Kingdom of God their primary concern," everything else in life would be given to them as well(Matthew6:33)God wants ALL OF US to be successful and have an abundant life. More then any of us can even dream.  Every one of us have goals that we struggle and strive for every day,maybe the reason we struggle and strive is because we have the wrong goal? As marketers,Restraunt workers, cashiers,waiters/waitress's whatever it is you do maybe if we make our goal helping others get what they want first MAYBE we wouldn't struggle so much to get what we want. Maybe what we want would just come to us,sort of like a miracle.
