Why Use Social Sites?

by Darlene Isberg Internet User

When Twitter became the going rage, so what?  I did not see
the value of 140 character meaningless messages.   Well, I
went and looked of course, what was so wonderful?  I passed.

Then FaceBook became the rage too, and Twitter was still
going strong.  Hmmm.  What was I missing here?

Then a swath of Social Sites came on the scene.  Good Grief.
I joined Twitter and FaceBook, just to be on the save side of
when I got a light bulb moment.

I never did get a light bulb moment with Social Sites and
now belong to somewhere between 55 and 60 of them.

Why?  I had learned about pinging and what it does.  And it
does.  Pinging is when you click on some of the tools you
will find on ApSense to make a quick post to Twitter or
Facebook, etc.  I use two different sites to Ping with.
The main one does all the majors and the second one
does the balance of Social Sites that have gained
recognition too.

The benefit of using these two Ping sites is I only have
to type one message and it is automatically posted to all
the sites I have set up with the Ping site I am working with.
It makes much more sense to me to do it this way, then
stopping whatever I am doing on any particular site and
have to think up a special message for the moment and
have the message meaningful.

You should make it a point to have a Ping message
ready for in the a.m. and then post another in the p.m.

You should look into Pinging too.
