Inspirational quotes from unexpected sources #9
This time the quote comes from a guest characters on the Highlander TV series
"We fight to stay alive. Don't forget to live." Graham Ashe
"Do you want a tombstone that says, "He Lived For Centuries" or do you want one that says, "For Centuries He Was Alive"? " Lord Byron
These characters where separated by centuries and never crossed paths. One was Mortal and the other immortal but it's amazing that they both are basically saying the same thing.
For the Immortals of this show it was probably very easy to just exist, after all they had all the time in the world to experience things. There was no rush, want to take up hang gliding? Of well I'll get around to it in the next century or so. We poor mortals have a limited amount of time to live we should live to the fullest.
And just in case the point is still escaping you, one more quote from The oldest living Immortal Methos who stopped counting at 5000 years old:
"You try living one year knowing that your time is running out. That no matter how much you train, no matter how many tricks you have, you STILL lose. That's the way it is for them. So little time for them to SEE anything or DO anything" Methos
Words like these should remind us of the wisdom that we hear again and again from countless sources. Life is too short, live it to the fullest.

It's amazing the creative 'GENIUS' that sprouts from MOVIES...
theme music to 'immortal' written 'gems'.
Thanks for the REFRESHING interlude.
"May the FORCE be with you", Cheryl.....

I love looking for these little gems in movies and TV shows. If you pay attention even movies and TV shows that aren't inspirational will turn up tidbits of wisdom.
