The constitutional and mainland affairs bureau of Hong Kong is set up so as to see that the basic law is implemented and followed by the HKSAR which was established in the 1997 when the basic law was started. The bureau ensures that all the matters involving the HKSAR, the central government or the Hong Kong province or all together, are solved or resolved in accordance with the basic law established with the establishment of the HKSAR.
