I have been a bit busy so it's been a while since I posted an inspirational quote. This time it's from the TV series Babylon 5. This one really is deep in many ways. There's a lot you can get out of this one if you think about it. I'm going for what is an obvious meaning for me.
In business you can put in all sorts of effort, have constant activity and still nothing happens. You just don't succeed. That's because in order to succeed it has to be the right effort. How many people depend on spam as a marketing technique? Yes you will luck out and catch the occasional person who will join anything at any time for any reason, but that's one person out of how many you have spammed? You can put a bunch of chimpanzees in a room with typewriters and eventually one of them will turn out the works of Shakespeare but it's not because there was any targeted effort on the part of the Chimpanzees, they are just hitting random keys. Eventually the odds will play out and you get something worthwhile, but how much effort has been wasted while you wait.
Remember that no matter what your business is, make your efforts count. Target your efforts into effectively marketing it instead of just making an effort.
