"Life is a harder stage to achieve than death." Kai from the TV series Lexx

The first time I heard that line I thought about it literrally.  It's much easier to kill than to nourish, just give me a plant and I'll prove it.  I have a brown thumb.  Want to execute a houseplant? just give it to me for a week.

However it was on of those sayings that I pondered over and found a much deeper meaning.  Life takes active participation.  If you aren't actively participating in your life you are existing.  Existence is stagnation.  Stagnation means nothing thrives, it's a sort of living death.

Every time I think of this one, it reminds me not to waste the time I have, to live life as fully as possible.  Every day put forth the effort needed to truly live and not just to exist.  Try new things, follow your dreams and reach you what you may think is impossible.  Yes it takes work and it is hard but you never know.  You might just reach it.  Even if you don't you will have made the attempt with your whole heart and being which is more than many can say because they will never even try.
