Networking for Dummies! Introduction
Okay Imagine this blog post comes in a yellow and black binder. _______For Dummies is self help so easy a caveman can do it. Apologies to any neanderthals that may be members here but I'm laying out the networking tips step by step and very simply.
First of all I think that many jump into social "networks" and have no idea what a network is or even have a point to being on the network, they are just there. It ends up being a waste for them and for everyone else. so the point of a network is to make connections. Those connections are made with the idea of two heads are better than one. You can have two people looking for new prospects and customers instead of one. The catch is that you will also be looking out for your connections just as they are looking out for you.
Your online social networks are the same. You and your connections looking out for each other. Whether online or in person there are certain steps that you must take to be a successful networker.
Step one is your "elevator" speech
Step two is identifying your contacts
Step three is building the relationship
Step four is "activating" your network
Each one of these steps is important and too much information to be placed in one article so I will do another article for each step so it can have the detail it deserves.

Yes it is staggering. And the number of "friends" you collect is also staggering. But what good are network contacts if the only intention is to spam?

Thanks for sharing this valuable information with us. The sheer number of social networks popping up is staggering to say the least, how you spend your time on them is important.
