Linking active communities around the world
As I study the ins and outs of internet marketing and all the deliberate ploys used to ensure that affiliates and programme joiners do not succeed I have started to wonder just what people are looking for when they try to make money on the web.
Their searches boil down to the following criteria:-
Somebody else does all the work and they get paid. (For the ultra gullible)
It blows their socks of. (Why? Why? Why?)
A retarded caveman or pet monkey can do it. (For the intellectually challenged)
You pay a one time fee and earn forever. (For the REALLY REALLY thick)
It's in pre-launch. (For those who don't know the meaning of pre-launch)
This is really frustrating and disappointing for anybody who has a product to offer that requires work and regular payments to cover hosting, training and updates.
As a gazette editor with the ndtnetwork I have spent a couple of years building up a gazette which now runs to over 50,000 pages. If I had been able to devote the time and energy required, I would now be enjoying the fruits of my labours in the form of residual income at quite a substantial level.
Following my recent, rather miraculous, return to what is good health for me, I am about to embark on a programme to rectify my income situation. It won't be instant, do no work and it won't blow my socks off - but it will produce.
A conversation with Peter Heavey, the CEO of the ndtnetwork has just reminded me that our corportate structure means that the rankings and visibility with Google that my efforts, so far, have created will enhance the gazettes of anybody else joining our network.
Our simple aim in life is to have a series of gazettes and journals, world wide, that will simply become an enormous community of active (both pro- and re-) that will work to its own benefit and the benefit of those around us.
This might seem rather a grand vision but it is something that is achievable with a little imagination from anybody who reads this message.
I'm no good at smoke and mirrors - indeed, when it comes to advertising I am probably my own worst enemy because I cannot lie and obfuscate. (Isn't it strange that the one thing the gurus are best at - they don't teach?)
Do you live in a town or a community that could benefit from having a local gazette or journal?
Do you live in a town where suppliers would be pleased to advertise to their LOCAL potential customers at a fraction of the price charged by printed newspapers?
Do you think that, with some work, with some training and utilising your own effort, you could create a useful tool for your community to benefit from?
Do you know others with the same skills and capabilities? Do you know others who might be able to use their community spirit to the benefit of the community?
Sod it! Do you, or anybody you know have the ability to work for your community in a self employed position that will enable you to become better known than just about anybody else?
Ask about our community gazettes and journals. Go to http://www.costadelsol.mylocalgazette.com and see what I have produced as a broad example.
If your community has less than 500 souls, we will set you up for free! Introduce anybody who decides they can do this and you will be paid a commission (30% 1st level, 20% 2nd level) - whether you join us or not. That's right, with our affiliate programme, you don't have to join to get paid - how different is that?
Surely somebody out there wants more than smoke and mirrors!
