Social Media - Introduction

Starting today I want to start into a large series about how to utilize social media traffic to drive traffic to your website.

 Why do I want to listen to you?

 Well, I know what I’m doing. I’m not a genius but I want to share the tips that have allowed me to get hundreds of additional unique visitors per day from social media sources such as Mixx, Myspace and StumbleUpon.

This traffic is fluff and not quality but, it does make you lots of money. Also a small percentage of it will convert to readers and comment. It is a shotgun theory. It takes the approach that a high volume with low conversion percentages will net you more than if you only had a few visitors with a high conversion rate. This works for me as some of my visitors are now some of my most loyal readers. I also find this traffic clicks on my ads a lot and makes my website attractive to advertisers.

What I want to do is teach you step by step how to “exploit” these systems to give you a marginal increase in your traffic that can be used time and time again.
