Did you know you can do amazing thing with your middle mouse (scroll) button. Apart from just scroll up and down. These shortcuts can increase your browsing productivity, trust me.

1. Open a new page in a new TAB

Simple just point at any link in your web page and press the scroll button. It will open the page in a new tab. Can you imagine how much time you can save. For the pat 2 years I always right click on my mouse and choose "Open in a new TAB"

2. Close a TAB

You don't have to find the "X" icon on the TAB to close it. Just hover on the TAB and click the scroll button and Walla it will close. How easy is that

3. BACK and FORWARD

If you are lazy to find the back and forward at the upper left of your webpage, you can try this press

  • SHIFT + scroll up : Forward
  • SHIFT + scroll down : Back

Ok this one is a combination for keyboard and mouse. I notice that for Firefox 3 BETA, they don't have this BACK and FORWARD button. SO you better get ready.

4. Increase TEXT size

OK , if you see a webpage that is quite small and you got a headache to read it just press

CTRL + scroll down

to increase it texts size.

I think that is all for now. I will add more if I find a new mouse shortcuts that is interesting to share. You can also go to Mozilla Support page to learn more on mouse shortcuts. The best part is that all of this mouse shortcut can also be use in Internet Explorer and Flock, I already tested it. I will try it on Safari and will let you know about it.

Happy Browsing !
